From a very young Xolotl L. Polo starts at the painting, assimilating a basic knowledge of painting of his parents, both artists. He has a degree in graphic design from Universidad Iberoamericana AC, also attending painting workshops at the Regional Institute of Fine Arts of Morelos, Mexico.
But is consistency that makes leaves forming Xolotl as a painter and becoming a striking experience. For years Xolotl feels trapped by the environment and history of the place where he lives, his paintings reflect that, people of color and passed, the perfect excuse. His attitude and intensity to painting occurs naturally. This relationship is on the gradual transformation, thereby achieving a gesture and deconstruction scenario, where the light is the turning point to start the human figure, and integrated on a single ground do all your work suggestive, located on that line between the « figuracin abstracciny ». His first individual exhibition comes from the hand of the Regional Institute of Fine Arts (Mexico, 1988) followed by over twenty to date. Throughout these years he has participated in numerous group exhibitions.
Is represented in numerous private and public collections, in the Museum of Contemporary Art, Mexico, Museum Javier de la Rosa, Canary Islands (Spain), Embassy of Mexico, Washington, DC (USA) and other countries.
De la petite enfance, Xolotl L. Polo s’est intéressé à la peinture, en absorbant toutes les connaissances de ses parents artistes. Il a reçu son éducation en design graphique à l’Université Iberoamericana AC, il a également participé à des ateliers sur la peinture à l’Institut régional des beaux-arts de Morelos, au Mexique. Durant des années il se sent rattrap é par l’environnement et l’histoire du lieu où il vit.
