Anna Chromy was born on the banks of Moldova River that connects his birthplace « Cesky Krumlov » with Prague hometown of his mother. Anna spent his youth between Salzburg and Vienna. Youngest of four daughters, she was the only one to inherit the artistic talent of his father. His music has never left and had a considerable influence on the early works of Anna. She started very early to draw but enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris after his marriage.
After twenty years of painting and a long immobilization on an accident she began a new development in his career and decided to devote himself exclusively to sculpture, using bronze and marble. Since then, she has participated in nearly a hundred exhibitions.
Anna Chromy is the first female artist awarded the prize of Michelangelo, the first foreign female artist to be exhibited in the National Museums in Beijing and Athens, she also worked for the Vatican and other personalities.
In 2008 she realized « The Cloak of Conscience » she painted 30 years ago. She had the opportunity to get a block of white marble of 250 tonnes in which she worked for three years in the studio of Michelangelo in Carrara in order to achieve a masterful work of 60 tons.
Anna Chromy est née sur les rives de la Moldavie, fleuve qui relie son lieu de naissance « Cesky Krumlov » avec Prague ville natale de sa mère. Anna passa sa jeunesse entre Salzbourg et Vienne. Benjamine de quatre filles, elle fut la seule à hériter du talent artistique de son père. Sa musique ne l’a plus jamais quitté et a eu une influence considérable sur les premières oeuvres d’Anna. Elle commença très tôt à dessiner mais s’inscrivit à l’Académie des Beaux Arts de Paris seulement après son mariage.
Après vingt années de peinture et une longue immobilisation sur à un accident elle entrepris une nouvelle évolution dans sa carrière et décida de se consacrer exclusivement à la sculpture en utilisant le bronze et le marbre. Depuis cette période, elle a participé à près d'une centaine d'expositions.
Anna Chromy est la première artiste femme récompensée par le prix de Michelangelo, la première artiste féminine étrangère à avoir exposé dans les Musées Nationaux de Pékin et Athène, elle a également à travaillé pour le Vatican et autres personnalités.
En 2008 elle réalisa « Le Manteau de la Conscience » qu’elle peignait 30 ans auparavant. Elle eu l’opportunité d’obtenir un bloc de marbre blanc de 250 tonnes dans lequel elle travailla durant trois années dans l’atelier de Michelange à Carrare pour y réaliser une oeuvre magistrale de 60 tonnes.
Анна Хроми родилась на берегах реки Молдава, которая соединяет ее город рождения - Чески Крумлов с Прагой - родным городом ее матери. Юность Анны прошла в Австрии, в Зальцбурге и в Вене, где она и « получила » свой родной язык и паспорт в жизнь. Как самой младшей из четырех сестер, ей было суждено унаследовать артистический талант своего отца. Его музыка никогда не покидала Анну, и имела огромное влияние на ее первые скульптуры. Достаточно рано она начала рисовать, однако их семья не имела средств для того, чтобы отправить юное дарование в Академию Искусств. Это событие произошло, когда Анна прибыла в Париж вместе со своим мужем. Она закончила Школу Изящных Искусств в Париже.
Однако жизнь непредсказуема и, порой, жестока. Серьезная авария заставила Анну полностью прекратить рисовать на шесть долгих лет. Тем не менее, активный характер и жизненная позиция сразу же привели ее к пробе своего таланта в области скульптуры, где Анна использует бронзу и мрамор. С начала карьеры скульптора, она приняла участие в сотнях выставок.
В 2008 году Анна реализовала свою идею скульптуры под названием « Плащ совести », которую она нарисовала еще 30 лет назад. В течение трех лет Хроми работала с блоком белого мрамора весом в 250 тонн в студии Микеланджело в Карраре. Таким образом, грандиозная скульптура высотой более 4,5 метров и весом - 60 тонн - стала ее визитной карточкой.
Анна Хроми является первой женщиной, которая удостоена премии Микеланджело - ежегодная награда, присуждаемая скульпторам в Италии.
